After the riders pass--what's next?

After the tour passed we started walking back to complete the 7 mile round trip.  Even as everyone did the same walk back home the spirits were still high.  But since you can't follow the riders, what do you do?

First you reflect on being able to see something that has been a dream for many years:

Then you watch the rest from a pub, where the same diversity of people sit to watch riders from around the world experience the beautiful roads and hillsides of Yorkshire.

And you toast the riders who are still struggling up hills and with each other for the maillot jaune.
